Lauren was recently awarded the F.A. Wood Memorial Travel Award. This award is named after the late plant pathologist Dr. Francis Aloysius "Al" Wood who was a pioneer in the epidemiology of plant diseases and who previously served as the Dean of Research for UF IFAS.

Each year, award recipients are chosen based on the benefits of their research to the scientific community and society, the significance of their work, and their publications in refereed journals.
This funding will help Lauren with travel costs to attend the annual American Phytopathological Society meeting, Plant Health, where she will present her research titled, "Evaluating the ability of oxytetracycline to maintain efficacy after exposure to high temperatures."
